In 2019 the Government of Jersey ended the year with a £63 million operating surplus. 

Income ended the year £18 million over projections, and expenditure was £0.5 million under budget.

Overseas aid

In 2018,​ the official contribution of overseas aid from Jersey was £10.4 million, of which:

  • £6.1 million was grant aid, while £0.2 million was refunded, for a net spend of £6.0 million on grant aid
  • £2.9 million was disaster and emergency aid
  • £1.1 million was given to local charities working abroad

The official aid contribution from Jersey in 2018 was 2% higher than the £10.1 million in 2017.
