Beginning divorce proceedings

Guidance and forms for starting the divorce process

You can find guidance and forms for beginning the divorce process below.

Make sure you read all the guidance notes in the procedure for getting divorced and the notes at the back of the divorce petition form.

If you have children

Read the divorce arrangements for children and complete Form 5: Statement of arrangements for children. 

You will need to file all the correct paperwork with the court to begin divorce proceedings.
