Child Sexual Exploitation Policy (and appendices) 2014

Produced by the Safeguarding Partnership Board (Other organisations)
Authored by CSE and Missing Persons sub-group and published on 23 Jun 2014
Prepared internally, no external cost

Summary

This policy has been produced by the Jersey Safeguarding Board's Child Sexual Exploitation and Missing Persons sub-group.

In 2012 the UK government's Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) provided a step-by-step guide for frontline practitioners to follow if they believe a child is being sexually exploited. The steps have been followed as a guide for developing this policy and practice document in regard to managing the presence of CSE within Jersey.

The CSE policy document below also contains the following appendices:

  • 1: Child Exploitation Checklist
  • 3: Jersey MASH Process
  • 4: supplementary guidance

Appendix 2 (Spotting the Signs of CSE proforma) can be downloaded separately below.
