Summary

​​​​The aim of this annual report is to provide qualitative information about attainment in A level and other level 3 qualifications by pupils in Jersey. 

Results of pupils in all schools in Jersey (both States and private) and the Island's further education college are collated to provide a picture of Island-wide participation and performance. 

In the 2013 / 2014 academic year:

  • the average point score (APS) per A level entry was equivalent to a C+ grade
  • the APS per A level entry for females was higher than for males
  • a quarter of A level entries resulted in an A* or A grade and four-fifths results in A* to C
  • the annual A level pass rate was 99.2%
  • the most popular A level subject was English, followed by biology and maths
  • overall, participation in level 3 qualifications was lower in Jersey than in England
