Summary

​​​The Independent Visitors for Young People visit secure and open residential units in Jersey to meet children and young people and help monitor aspects of their life in care. They monitor standards, discuss them at board meetings, and recommend actions to the Children’s Policy Group and Children’s Services. 

The 2014 annual report covers:
  • terms of reference
  • overview of what has taken place over the course of the year within the board
  • findings from the children’s homes
  • recommendations from the board
