Summary

The Independent Visitors for Young People visit secure and open residential units in Jersey to meet children and young people and help monitor aspects of their life in care. 

They monitor standards, discuss them at board meetings, and recommend actions to the Children and Vulnerable Adults Policy Group and to Children’s Services.

The 2015 annual report covers:
  • an overview of what has taken place over the course of the year within the board
  • findings from the children’s homes
  • recommendations from the board
This document is a redacted version of the annual report to ensure anonymity of the children and young people documented within the report.
