Summary

​This annual report presents Jersey’s age standardised rates of premature mortality (deaths occurring before an individual reaches 75 years of age) over a three year period, 2014-2016. In addition to the total rate, the report presents a breakdown of premature death rates due to cancer, heart disease and stroke, lung disease, liver disease and injury.

The rates are compared with the English average, and the unitary authorities in England.
