I would like to know what set of rules is followed when the States of Jersey Police decide to release the Mug shots of people to the Media when they are convicted in the Royal Court, as their appears to be no consistency?
I would also like to know whether the States of Jersey Police ever take into account the annoyance and disruption such releasing of Mug Shots can cause for any person concerned when distributed online, long after they have served their sentence?
Please see attached a copy of the States of Jersey Police agreement for the use of photographs taken in police custody.
