Summary

​​This review was commissioned by the Government of Jersey in October 2018.

The Group Director of Children’s Services appointed independent reviewer Stephen Ashley to conduct a review of Greenfields children’s secure unit.

The review was conducted following a number of other reports and inquiries into aspects of the care system in Jersey; in particular the review of the Jersey youth justice system that was published in October 2018 and the Independent Jersey Care Inquiry 2017, both of which made reference to Greenfields.
