Summary

​​The registered unemployment report for November 2010 has been released by the Statistics Unit.

This latest report shows that:

  • th​​e total number of people registered as unemployed and actively seeking work (ASW) in Jersey was 1,310
  • the latest monthly ASW total is 20 higher than that of a month earlier (October 2010) and  220 higher than that of a year earlier (2009)
  • a quarter of the ASW total (350 people) were teenagers aged 16-19 years; 140 teenagers were on the Advance to Work Scheme
  • on a seasonally adjusted basis, the total number of people registered as ASW has been at a similar level for the last 4 months (August – November 2010)
