Summary

​A White Paper: Review of the Heritage Protection Regime was published in January 2009. A public consultation ran from 28th January 2010 for 6 weeks finishing on 12th March 2010. This was the culmination of two years work to bring forward proposals to make the protection regime more efficient, transparent and fit for purpose.
