The Jersey Mortality Report 2023 has been published in two stages to balance timeliness with reliability.

A preliminary release in October 2024 presented the number of deaths among Jersey residents in 2023, broken down by age and sex, with comparisons over time and across jurisdictions. At that point, many deaths were still awaiting inquest verdicts or confirmation of cause of death.​

With this information now available, the full report provides a more detailed picture, including analysis by cause of death, and replaces the earlier release.
