The Better Business Support Package (BBSP)

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Applying for a Better Business Grant

A total £10.6 million of the Better Business Support Package will be used for the Better Business Grant throughout 2025 and 2026. £5.3 million will be available in 2025 and the same amount in 2026.

The grants offer up to 50% matched funding, up to the value of £75,000 for eligible organisations​ to support projects aimed at improving productivity and skills. This is alongside a dedicated fund for developing the Visitor Economy.

You can apply for a grant if you are an employer, this includes businesses and charities.​

In addition, £300,000 has been given to Jersey Business for the administration, and marketing costs associated with delivering the Better Business Grants.​​

Productivity Grant

£2.8 million of funding will be available for the Productivity Grant.

It​s aim is to support improvements which will lead to:

  • enhanced productivity
  • investment in projects that deliver process efficiency
  • cost reduction
  • increase in sales

Visitor Economy Development Grant

Funding of £1 million will be available to support employers in the visitor economy:

  • with improvements in productivity
  • to enhance service delivery and visitor experiences

This grant is exclusively for organisations related to tourism or hospitality. This includes visitor accommodation, visitor experiences, and hospitality businesses​​​​​​.

Skills and Apprenticeship Grant

£1.5 million of funding will be availabl​e for the Skills Grant. 

The Skills Grant is to enable organisations to invest in their employees to enhance their skills in the following areas:

  • business
  • digital
  • leadership

In addition, employers can access a £2,000 grant per eligible apprentice.

The £20 million Better Business Support Package (BBSP) was launched as part our commitment to support employers and employees during the transition towards a living wage in 2025 and 2026.

Destination Marketing

£2 million will be available to support consumer facing activities to:

  • boost Jersey’s international visibility and appeal
  • enable marketing in core markets
  • create joint campaigns with key partners​

Route Development 

£1 million will be available to support improved air connectivity by enabling Ports of Jersey to attract new airlines and routes, in partnership with Visit Jersey.

It aims to strengthen the Island’s visitor economy and broaden connectivity.

Rural and Marine 

£1.1 million in funding will be available which will supplement the existing rural and marine support schemes. It​s aim is to strengthen the sustainability and competitiveness of these sectors.

Registered Employee Support

£0.​3 million​ will be available​ to support lower-income workers who have lived in Jersey for less than 5 years.
