Report – Appointment of Members of the Independent Prison Monitoring Board

The Minister for Home Affairs appointed Amanda Berry, Peter Bisson, Pippa Procter and Barry Nolan as members of the Independent Prison Monitoring Board (IPMB).
These appointments bring the number of Members on the Board to 10 and strengthen the important work of the Board in providing independent oversight of HMP La Moye.
The appointments follow a public recruitment process beginning with advertisement in the Jersey Evening Post, including an information event at the Public Library; interviews subsequently took place in March and April 2020.
The term of appointment is an initial 4 years.
Amanda has a strong HR background, working for JET and Back to Work.
Peter was a Community Service Supervisor for the Probation Service before his recent retirement.
Pippa works for Jersey Air Traffic Control as a Co-ordinator.
Barry is an engineer who is project managing Jersey Highways Partnerships work.
The Minister wishes the new Board members every success in this important voluntary role.
