Any students who didn't responded to the survey, and feel that they might need assistance to self-isolate, should email the Youth Enquiry Service or on +44 (0)1534 280530.

Isolation requirements

When you return to Jersey you must self-isolate. The number of days and tests you need to take will depend on the area you have travelled from.

You need to read:

Do

  •

be in one place for the duration of your isolation period

  •

    keep away from others

  •

    have food and necessities delivered

  •

    sleep in a separate room

Don't

  •

don't leave your home or accommodation you're isolating in

  •

  •

don't share bathrooms or kitchen space. If this is not possible, use a rota and clean touch points between users

If other people live in your household, you're allowed to isolate there if you can:

  • remain in a separate room to other members of the household at all times
  • sleep in a different room
  • not share bathrooms or kitchen space or if this is not possible, use a rota and clean touch points between users

If you are unable to isolate away from household members, the whole household must isolate.

Consider whether there are alternative locations that you could self-isolate, for example with friends or family members, or whether other household members could temporarily move in with friends or family to prevent them having to go into isolation with you.

Government provided accommodation

For those students unable to self-isolate in the family home or other alternative accommodation the Government is arranging accommodation to be provided in a self-contained unit with living space, kitchen and bathroom facilities for the 10 / 14 day self-isolation period.

Where possible family members returning to Jersey will be able to create a household by being located in the same accommodation, although this will depend upon availability.
