Anna Kukula sees private patients at Castle Quay Medical Practice and Jersey General Hospital.
Specialty
Anna has over 25 years of experience in dermatology and specialises in a wide range of skin, hair and nail diseases. She leads the Dermatology Department and the Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
Her areas of interest are psoriasis, eczema, acne, autoimmune diseases, venereological issues, the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer and pre-cancerous conditions and mole checks. She treats both adult and paediatric patients.
Training
Anna has 12 years of UK-based experience, working as a consultant dermatologist in several London teaching hospitals, including St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas, the Royal Free NHS Trust and in the private skin care network.
Anna completed her medical training with honours at the Medical University of Lodz in Poland and later specialised as a consultant in dermatology, following her family tradition (her mother has been practicing dermatology for over 40 years).
After extensive research in the field of autoimmune diseases, Anna completed her PhD in Medicine. She trained in Dermatoscopy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, New York and in Confocal Microscopy at Modena University in Italy.
She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, Royal Society of Medicine, American Academy of Dermatology and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
She has written for key medical text books and published a number of articles in peer reviewed international journals.
Anna joined Jersey General Hospital in 2017.
