  • If you need urgent help, call us on +44 (0) 1534 445290.

  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Getting help with your mental health

We support adults aged 18 and over.

Most people are referred by their GP or another health professional. If you feel you need mental health support, speak to them first. They can offer advice and refer you if needed.

Alternatively, you can refer yourself or someone else by calling us on +44 (0) 1534 445290. If you need urgent help or are in crisis, you can also use this number. Find out more on how to get urgent help.

Once you’re referred, our team will contact you to do an assessment and direct you to the service that best meet your needs.

You can refer yourself directly to Jersey Talking Therapies (JTT). JTT is a free and confidential service for adults aged 18.

We also offer support if you're moving from CAMHS to Adult Mental Health Services.

If you need to cancel your appointment, contact Mental Health Service for Adults as soon as possible.

What to expect after your referral

Once you’re referred, we contact you to arrange an assessment and help you access the service that best meets your needs.

Your assessment takes place in person somewhere easy for you to get to, like a clinic or your home. You’ll meet a member of our team, such as:

  • a nurse
  • social worker
  • occupational therapist

They will ask questions to understand your needs. You’ll agree a care plan together, which you’ll receive in writing before you leave.

We’ll also send a copy of your assessment to your GP.

Already receiving support

If you’re already getting support from one of our mental health teams and need help, contact your care coordinator or the team’s duty worker.
