Health checks for people with learning disabilities (easy read)

People with a learning disability can have more health problems with their body and mind than other people.

Having a health check every year means we can find out if you have any health problems and get you more treatment if you need it.

You do not need to be ill to have a health check.

The nurses on our team know a lot about different health problems and can help you stay as well as possible.

If you are supported by the Adult Learning Disability Team, you can have a health check with a nurse every year.

You will be sent an appointment letter in the post and easy read information about what to expect at your health check.
