Events for children and young people
We offer many free events for all ages.
Weekly sessions for under 5 years old include:
- Baby Bounce and Rhyme
- Toddler Time
- Rhythm, Rhyme and Storytime
- Jèrriais stories and rhymes
If you’re aged 5 to 12, you can join clubs like Chess Club and Lego Club.
You can also take part in our special events which vary during the year.

Find books in other languages with LOTE4Kids
LOTE4Kids is an online platform offering children's picture books in over 75 languages, including sign language.
Each story is read by a native speaker and comes with English translations.
You can use it on a computer or mobile app to:
- enjoy stories
- learn languages
- improve your child's reading skills

Summer Reading Challenge
The Summer Reading Challenge is a fun free programme to help children and young people keep reading during the summer holidays.
It usually takes place from the end of June to mid-September.
Your child can join at any of our locations where they can:
- set reading goals
- take part in activities, workshops and challenges
Our staff will be there to guide and inspire young readers.
