Borrow topic boxes
Primary schools and nurseries can borrow free topic boxes each term.
Each box is a hand-picked collection of books that:
- support the Jersey curriculum
- match the learning level of each Key Stage
- spark interest across a wide range of subjects
Popular topics include:
- the Great Fire of London
- the Vikings
- The Occupation
- plant life
- animals, oceans and space
We can also provide books in languages other than English, depending on the subject.
You should request your box 1 term in advance to help us prepare and deliver it in time.
Topic boxes support teachers by providing high-quality, relevant resources that enrich classroom learning throughout the school year.

Organise a library visit
We welcome visits from schools and nurseries to the library. These visits are a great way for children to:
- discover new books
- enjoy story time sessions
- explore how the library works
- get excited about reading
We can also arrange for a library staff member to visit your school or nursery to deliver story sessions or reading activities.
These visits help children build confidence and curiosity around books and learning.

Get the Mobile Library at your school or nursery
Our Mobile Library can visit your school or nursery free of charge.
This exciting service helps children:
- access a wide range of books
- borrow books using their own library card
- enjoy the experience of a real library on wheels
It's an ideal way to introduce children to borrowing books and encourage lifelong reading habits.
