About our libraries
Jersey Library offers a large collection of books, digital resources and programmes for all ages.
We have 2 locations:
- Town Library in St Helier
- Communicare Centre in St Brelade
You can access many of our services at both locations. Most of our services and facilities are free but you may need to be a member.
You can also access our
mobile library and
home delivery service.

Town Library
The Town Library is our largest branch, located at the heart of St Helier.
It offers:
- free access to books
- events for all ages
- digital resources
- computers
- Makerspace
- study spaces
It is a spacious, welcoming library with broad collections, diverse facilities and a large children’s and family library.

Communicare Library
Our Communicare Library is a smaller branch.
You can borrow or return a selection of fiction and non-fiction for all ages, audiobooks and magazines.
There is also:
- free wifi
- lounge area and reading room
- garden area
- room to hire

Accessing our libraries and facilities
We are committed to making our libraries accessible for all our visitors and have received
Accès accreditation from Liberate.
Both our locations have:
- automatic entrance doors
- accessible toilet facilities
- wide aisles
There is also a lift at the Town Library. The Communicare Library is all on ground level.
Other facilities

- baby changing room in the children’s area
- free water re-fill station on the first floor
