Spring term sports courses

You'll need to fill out the form below and post your completed form and payment (cheque only):

You can also leave it in an envelope at Fort Regent reception with the front desk staff.

Your booking will only be accepted when we have your completed booking form and a cheque for the correct amount.

We will email you a booking confirmation within five working days.

Refund policy

We can no longer refund course fees.  Exceptional circumstances will be considered by the Sport Development Officer.

Badminton

Age restrictions

The badminton programme is for c​hildren in school years 3 to 8.

Cost

Badminton costs £32.80 for the eight week course.  The course code is 3863.

Times and dates

The badminton programme runs from 4pm to 5pm from Monday 23 January to Monday 20 March (no session 20 February).

Location

The course is held at the Gilson Hall next to D'Auvergne School.

Course details

The programme is for all abilities and is run by Jersey Badminton Association coaches.

What to bring

You'll need to bring:

  • indoor sports clothing
  • clean non-marking trainers
  • plenty to drink
  • small towel​

Casual sessions (just turn up and play)

Age restriction

These sessions are for children in school years 3 to 10.

Cost

Each session costs £2.55. You must pay at reception and give the receipt to the coaches along with parent or guardian details and medical conditions.

Times and dates

The sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday from 4.30pm to 5.30pm from Tuesday 10 January to Thursday 30 March. There are no sessions over half term.

Location

All sessions take place in the Queens Hall, Fort Regent

Course details​

You can choose between trampolining, badminton and table tennis (where space is available). You can move between activities at your own pace (where space is available).

What to bring​​

You'll need to bring:

  • suitable clothing
  • suitable footwear
  • thick socks for the trampolines
  • plenty to drink

The cricket courses are for children in school years 2 to 5.

Course cost

The cricket courses cost £40 for the ten week course.

Time, date and location

Oakfield Sports Centre for school years 3 to 5: 6pm to 7pm, Wednesday 11 January to Wednesday 22 March (no session 22 February)

Langford Sports Centre for school years 2 to 4: 6pm to 7pm, Friday 13 January to Friday 24 March (no session 24 February)

Les Quennevais Sports Centre for school years 3 to 7: 6pm to 7.30pm, Friday 13 January to Friday 24 March (no session 24 February)

Course details

The cricket courses use a soft ball and are suitable for all abilities welcome.

​Fencing

Age restrictions

The fencing course is for children in school years 3 to 9.

Cost

The fencing course costs £24.60 for the six week course.  The course code is 3864.

Times and dates

The fencing programme runs from 5pm to 6pm from Friday 27 January to Friday 10 March (no session 24 February).

Location

The course is held at Langford Sports Centre.

​Course details

All sessions are taken by profe​​ssional fencing coach Gianpaolo.  All equipment is provided including safety equipment. No experience is necessary.

What to bring

You'll need to bring:

  • tracksuit or similar (must be long trousers, no shorts or skirts)
  • trainers
  • plenty to drink
  • small towel​

Football with the Jersey Football Association

How to book

You must go to the Jersey Football Association website to download a booking form.

All sessions are from 4pm to 5pm.

Course cost

Football costs £50 for the ten week course.

Location

The courses are held at Springfield Stadium.

Course details

The Jersey FA After School Skill Sessions are run by the Jersey FA community team.   

What to bring

Children will need to bring:

  • suitable clothing
  • plenty to drink
  • rubber moulded football boots if you have them and trainers

Judo

Age restrictions

The judo course is for children in school years 2 to 7.

Cost

The ​judo course costs £20.50 for the five week course.  The course code is 3862.

Times and dates

The judo course runs from 5.30pm to 6.30​pm from Wednesday 1 March to Wednesday 29 March.

Location

The course is held in the Piazza at Fort Regent.

​Course details

No previous experience is necessary.   Judo jackets will be provided.

Super Sports Fun

Age restrictions

Super Sports is suitable for children in school years 1 to 3.

A variety of sports will improve skills in striking, catching, throwing, finding space, speed, agility and coordination, including:

  • rugby

Trampolining

Age restrictions

Trampolining is suitable for children in school years 3 to 12.

Course cost

The trampolining course costs £36.90 for the nine week course.
