Census reminders sent to households

06 April 2011

Final reminder postcards have been posted today (6 April) to every household in Jersey that hasn’t yet returned their census questionnaire.

If you have lost or damaged your questionnaire, you can get a replacement by contacting the census office on 440111, or by emailing census@gov.je

The census office said today that if you haven’t completed your questionnaire, you need to fill it in and post it back as soon as possible to avoid a home visit from a census collection officer.

Census collection officers will begin their visits at the end of next week. They will offer help and advice to those who need it and will provide replacement questionnaires if they have been lost or damaged.

Everyone needs to be counted. Not only is it important to help plan services that affect everyone such as schools, health and transport, but all residents of Jersey are required to be included on a census questionnaire by law.
