Latest employment report published

Jersey’s labour market report for December 2010 has been published. The report is published every 6 months and covers key aspects of both public and private sector total employment.

The labour market report for December 2010 shows that:
  • 53,460 people were employed in Jersey in December 2010, a decrease of 110 compared to last year
  • 87% of the total were employed in the private sector  
  • the largest decrease was recorded by the finance sector, down 200 on an annual basis
