The States of Jersey Statistics Unit has released its annual compendium of statistics “Jersey in Figures” in an online format.
Wide range of stats available online
Jersey in Figures, which can be found at gov.je/JerseyInFigures, brings together a wide range of summary statistics about the Island into one place.
It not only includes all the data produced by the Statistics Unit but also information from a range of States departments and official organisations, including:
- education
- health
- crime
- emergency services
- tourism
- agriculture and fisheries
- employment
- economy
- culture and heritage
- climate
- public accounts
Previously a printed booklet
Jersey in Figures was previously produced annually as a printed booklet, which means that Jersey in Figures can now be continually updated with the latest figures.
Jersey in Figures online is part of a wider project to make data more accessible to the public. Over the longer-term there are plans to improve the Jersey in Figures pages with interactive features and downloadable datasets linked with the gov.je open data portal.
It's hoped that Jersey in Figures will continue to be a convenient reference for the general public and local businesses, as well as government.
