The guaranteed first prize for the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery has risen to £845,000.
It is good news for local good causes, many of whom rely on grants made possible as a result of the lottery. The Channel Islands Lottery raised £1,250,482 in 2016.
The first prize will continue to increase in line with the number of tickets sold. Lottery organisers and local good causes are hoping the jackpot will top last year’s £1,120,220.
Tickets for the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery cost £2 and are available from retailers across Jersey. In addition to the rising first prize, Islanders can also win a £100,000 second prize, a £25,000 third prize and ten £1000 prizes, as well as instant cash prizes of up to £5,000.
The winning numbers will be announced on Tuesday 19 December 2017.
