Lottery top prize reaches £700,000

30 November 2018

Lottery Prize

With three weeks to go until the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery, the top prize has now reached £700,000.

It will continue to rise as more tickets are sold across the Channel Islands.

This year, as well as the top prize,  the largest pool of prizes ever is available including a second prize of £50,000, five prizes of £10,000, 10 prizes of £5,000, 15 prizes of £2,500, 25 prizes of £1,000 and 30 prizes of £500.

For the scratch cards, 288,000 instant cash win prizes ranging from £3-£50,000 are available.

Lyn Wilton, Charities Administrator for the Association of Jersey Charities, said: "We hope the new prize structure for this year’s lottery will increase sales and will in turn increase the revenue for good causes.

"Every year, we receive many applications from charities for help from the lottery proceeds. Some of these charities are small and find it difficult to gain the exposure that larger charities benefit from. Buying tickets for the lottery is a great way of supporting local good causes and having a chance to win one of the many prizes too."
