Statement from the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills

21 December 2020

The Department for Children Young People, Education and Skills has been advised of the following:

Highlands College
A student at Highlands College tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday 17 December.

The student is currently isolating at home, along with the rest of their household, following public health guidance. The track and trace process is taking place.

St Martin’s School
A member of staff at St Martin’s School tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday 19 December.
As they have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

Le Rocquier School
A student at Le Rocquier School has tested positive for COVID-19 today.
As they have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

Victoria College
A student at Victoria College has tested positive for COVID-19 today.

As they have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

Haute Vallée
A student at Haute Vallée has tested positive for COVID-19 today.

As they have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

Hautlieu School
Three students at Hautlieu have tested positive for COVID-19 today.

As they have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

Grouville School
A student at Grouville School has tested positive for COVID-19 today.

As they have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

d’Auvergne School
Two staff at d’Auvergne School have tested positive for COVID-19.

They are currently isolating at home, along with the rest of their households, following public health guidance.

Parents of students in the affected bubbles have been asked to isolate as a precautionary measure, to allow the track and trace process to be completed.

St Clement’s School
A student at St Clement’s School has tested positive for COVID-19 today.
 
The student is currently isolating at home, along with the rest of their household, following public health guidance.

Parents of students in the year group have been asked to isolate as a precautionary measure, to allow the track and trace process to be completed.

Les Quennevais School
Three students attending Les Quennevais School have tested positive for COVID-19 today.

One student is currently isolating at home, along with the rest of their household, following public health guidance. Students in the affected year group have been asked to self-isolate as precautionary measure, to allow the track and trace process to be completed.

As the other two students have not been in school, Contact Tracing have advised that no further action is required.

Background
In cases above where “further action” is required, the schools contact parents and the class bubbles to ask that they isolate at home, as a precautionary measure, to allow the track and trace process to be completed.

In cases where “no action” is required it means that the student or staff member has not attended school for a number of days and as a result no further action will be taken by the Contact Tracing team.
