Statement from the Department for Children, Young People, Education and Skills

18 November 2020

A case of COVID-19 has been confirmed at Victoria College Jersey.

The affected student is isolating at home, along with the rest of their household and is following the public health guidance.  In order to respect the privacy of the individual no further information will be provided about them.  
 
While the direct contacts of the student are identified and contacted, all Sixth Form students in Victoria College, have been asked to go home and to remain at home until this process is completed. 

“The College has contacted parents with the relevant information and will remain open following advice from Environmental and Public Health.
 
“We are committed to supporting our students who have been impacted by the pandemic. Students who have to be at home due to Public Health guidelines will continue to receive school work online so that they can continue with their education.
