New Mental Health Network for Islanders

15 October 2020

Islanders can now access a single page online which lists all the available support services for mental health and wellbeing.

Public and private organisations have worked in partnership to create a ‘Mental Health Network’ which collates available services in Jersey into one easy to access site where Islanders can go for guidance.

The organisations involved in the network include:

  • Listening Lounge
  • My Voice
  • Mind Jersey
  • Jersey Recovery College
  • Liberate
  • Jersey Talking Therapies
  • Alcohol and Drugs Service
  • Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
  • Silkworth Lodge

The network is also working with UK charity, Hub of Hope, which also lists available services in Jersey, as well as information about a smartphone app which is available to give Islanders direct contact with mental health providers.

Dr Jake Bowley, Lead Allied Health Professional for Mental Health Care Group and a Clinical Psychologist, said: “Services from all over Jersey, including charities, businesses and health and community services are working even more closely together to ensure that Islanders are able to quickly and easily get the help that’s right for them.

“We are developing advanced partnerships in our ways of working, bringing together all the amazing resources we have in Jersey, to support each other in managing the challenges life brings. We’ve worked hard to make sure that people don’t have to wait, so when they ask for support, they get it as quickly as possible.”

“There are many ways the public can access help and advice, and this is a real strength. Talking about mental health struggles is often difficult. The more ways people can get help the better. We want to encourage and enable people to be able to ask for help before their problems get too big. Acting early really can make a difference!”
