Covid Status Certificate digital portal relaunched

17 December 2021

From today (Friday, 17 December) Islanders can access COVID Status Certificates digitally.

To access the digital certificate, Islanders must be registered with Yoti on their mobile device and have a OneGov account.

Jersey issued vaccine QR codes will work in all UK domestic scenarios, EU Member States and some other jurisdictions around the world.

The QR code will read 'valid' when scanned by the NHS COVID Pass Verifier App. Islanders can check this themselves by downloading the App from Google/Apple stores and scanning the QR code representing their most recent dose.

The QR code will expire after 30 days, at which point new QR codes can be re-issued, either by re-logging into the digital CSC portal or by contacting the Coronavirus helpline.

The digital portal was taken down shortly after its launch earlier this year, due to a security issue being identified. No data was compromised, and the issue has now been resolved.

UK domestic certification policy currently only requires an individual to have received a primary course.

If an Islander has an issue with Yoti or the CSC digital portal, they should contact the Coronavirus Helpline on 0800 735 5566 who will be able to email a PDF version of the certificate with the QR codes.

Secure paper CSCs demonstrating a booster dose are currently being posted to Islanders who received a booster dose before 8 December. Those who received their booster dose after 8 December will be sent a certificate within two weeks of the booster being administered.

The secure paper booster certificate can be used as evidence of a booster dose in the UK, EU and rest of the world.
