Last few days of Rock Up vaccine clinics

11 August 2021

This week is the last chance for Islanders, aged 16 and over, to rock up to the mobile vaccine clinics to receive their Covid-19 vaccination.

Since Monday 2 August, Islanders have been able to get vaccinated at various locations around the Island as part of the Vaccination Programme's 'Rock Up' campaign, with staff on hand to answer any questions. The last Rock Up event will take place this Sunday, 15 August in the Royal Square between 10-12.

Both walk-in and booked appointments for first and second doses will continue to be available at Fort Regent's Vaccination Centre. Islanders should check the opening days and hours online as the Centre will be closed for a few days throughout August.

Head of the Vaccination Programme, Becky Sherrington, said: "I am so pleased with the brilliant uptake the Rock Up campaign has received so far, last week we administered 188 first doses. I urge Islanders to make use of the Rock Up clinics still administering vaccines in various locations this week. If anyone is feeling uncertain about the vaccine, they are also more than welcome to come along and ask our medical staff any questions they may have.

"From next week, we will continue the programme at the Vaccination Centre in Fort Regent for anybody aged 16 and over, for both first and second doses. A reminder, that if you're walking in for your second dose, please ensure 28 days or more have passed since your first dose.

"Our teams are working harder than ever to continue vaccinating all eligible Islanders. I urge those who are yet to get their vaccine, to come along with their friends and give yourself the protection against COVID-19. The appointments only take around 20 minutes so it couldn't be easier if you have a little spare time in your day.

"I'd like to thank the vaccination team for their continued hard work and Islanders for continuing to support the vaccination programme."

Islanders wanting to book an appointment for their first dose can do so online or can call the helpline on 0800 735 5566.

Vaccinations at the Rock Up clinics are provided on a first come first served basis and are for first doses only. No appointment is required but Islanders should bring a form of photo ID. For the remaining Rock Up campaign schedule, visit gov.je.
