Following the tremendous success of the Jersey Children’s Day in July, the Government are delighted to host their next Closer to Home event, on 20 August from 09:00-13:00 focusing on families and children.
The event will have a host of organisations involved in working with children and families as well as free activities available for everyone to enjoy. The event will be taking place at the Communicare Centre in St Brelade.
This is a great opportunity for families, children and carers to find out information about what is available in their community.
The following services will be taking part:
- Adult and Older Adult Mental Health Service
- Focus on Mental Illness
- Jersey Recovery College
- Citizens Advice Jersey
- Children and Families Hub, Family Partnership Worker Team
- Work and Family Hub, Customer and Local Services
- Back to Work, Customer and Local Services
- McMillan Jersey
- Roxy, Yoga instructor
- Move More Jersey
- Cancer Relief
- Jersey Women’s Refuge
- Jersey Care Commission
- Revenue Jersey
- JerseyMe the Government of Jersey digital ID
- The Communicare Friendship Club
- Airtel
We will also have Airtel as the new provider of telecare for Heath and Community Services as well as the library. The event will enable families to get information and speak to a range of organisations about key topics.
