Island sites taking part in European Heritage Days

15 September 2025

Four local sites and attractions will open their doors for free or with reduced entry this week, when Jersey joins the 42nd European Heritage Days.

As part of the broader European Culture Days, led by the French Ministry of Culture, the Island’s cultural heritage will be brought closer to locals and visitors with a range of activities from Friday 19 to Sunday 21 September.

This year’s theme focuses on architectural heritage – recognising the artistry and history embedded in our buildings and landmarks, while unveiling the stories behind some of Jersey’s most iconic sites.

Jersey Heritage, the Royal Court and States Chamber, National Trust for Jersey and Jersey War Tunnels are all taking part in the initiative:

  • Jersey Museum and Victorian House – Free entry
  • Georgian House at 16 New Street (National Trust for Jersey) – £5 adults, £2.50 children
  • Royal Court and States Chamber – £7.50 adults, £4 children/seniors (20 Sept only, booking required)
  • Jersey War Tunnels – 20% off tickets + free audio guide (while stocks last)

Jersey's involvement comes as a result of a co-operation agreement between the Government, the Normandy region and Département de la Manche over the last ten years, facilitated by the Bureau des Iles Anglo-Normandes in Caen.
