The Government of Jersey is hosting a Carers Connect Me event on Tuesday 17 March at the Radisson Blu Waterfront Hotel, St Helier. This event builds on the Government’s commitment to supporting carers and those they care for by creating opportunities to connect and access helpful information and resources.
There will be a range of representatives from the Employment, Social Security and Housing department including the Disability and Inclusion Team, Customer Experience, Work and Family Hub (Health Benefits, Home Carer’s Allowance and impairment), and the Pension and Care Hub (Long Term Care, Pensions and Income Support).
More than 30 organisations will also be attending to provide information, advice, and support, including Carers Jersey, Dementia Jersey, Family Nursing and Home Care, Macmillan Jersey, and a wide range of community, health, and voluntary sector partners.
Visitors will have the opportunity to book onto free wellbeing activities such as sit down boxing and Laugh, Move and Groove sessions. Activities must be booked in advance.
