The Government of Jersey is taking active steps to manage any potential impacts on the Island arising from the conflict in the Middle East.
Officials continue to work closely with UK counterparts, including the Ministry of Justice, to monitor global developments and assess any future implications for Jersey.
Supply lines remain strong, and the Island has sufficient fuel supplies. At this stage, we do not anticipate any disruption to availability.
Alongside this, we are working with the Jersey Consumer Council to support competition and transparent pricing, encouraging Islanders to compare fuel and food prices and make more informed purchasing choices.
The Government has already taken targeted action, including expanding the Rural Support Scheme to help offset sharply rising fuel and fertiliser costs in the agriculture sector caused by the conflict in the Middle East, and stands ready to take further action if required.
