New Healthcare Facilities Meet the Buyer events to take place – Expression of Interest open

29 January 2026

Following the announcement of Bouygues UK,  BYUK, as the Preferred Tenderer for the Acute Hospital at Overdale, a series of Meet the Buyer events will be taking place on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 February at the Grand Hotel.

The events are being held to enable New Healthcare Facilities Programme, NHFP, and Bouygues UK teams to advise and inform the local construction industry and supply chain of the potential upcoming opportunities, as well as for local companies to share their capacity, skills, experience.

The sessions will include a general presentation for all parties and then individual one-to-one sessions to meet with members of the NHFP and/or BYUK teams in relation to participants’ particular speciality.

Expression of Interest

To help gauge demand and ensure sufficient sessions are available, businesses are invited to register an expression of interest for either the general presentation and/or the one-to-one sessions, indicating their relevant industry via the following form: Register your interest

The one-to-one sessions will be categorised into areas where it is anticipated that there is opportunity for local companies to support the delivery of the project. These categories include, but are not limited to:

  • General contractors
  • Civils and structure contractors
  • Materials suppliers
  • Labour management agencies
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) contractors
  • Fit out contractors
  • Site supply and consultants
  • Hospitality and catering
  • Security and Facilities Management
  • Printing and photography
  • Workforce accommodation
  • Any other areas.

Following the expression of interest process, tickets will be made available for the general presentation and the one-to-one sessions via Eventbrite where businesses will be able to select the relevant industry session and book a suitable time slot.

The Minister for Health and Social Services, Deputy Tom Binet, said: “The New Healthcare Facilities Programme has already created opportunities for the local market, with most recently Ashbe Construction delivering the Development Works on site and Larsen the site offices that will eventually become the Facilities Management Hub. This ‘Meet the Buyer’ event will allow the NHFP team and BYUK to present the many opportunities that remain, including the delivery of the Acute Hospital.

“Given the high level of technical expertise required to deliver a complex facility such as an Acute Hospital, it was important that any Main Contractor bidding for the project had successfully delivered a hospital of a similar scale within the past five years, as has been demonstrated by Bouygues UK through the procurement process. Now this is a further opportunity for businesses to join us in delivering much needed healthcare facilities for Islanders.”

Nicolas Pithon, Project Director at Bouygues UK, said: “These events are a great opportunity for us to connect with local businesses, discuss how we can work together, and highlight upcoming opportunities on this landmark project. We encourage all interested companies to take part."
