Mental Health Recovery Hub showcase event to celebrate community wellbeing and recovery

02 October 2026

The Recovery Hub, part of Health and Care Jersey's Mental Health Service, will be hosting its first Showcase Event on Thursday 8 October, from 10am to 1pm, at the Best Western Royal Hotel, St Helier.

The event will celebrate the achievements of participants, facilitators and partner organisations who have contributed to the Recovery Hub's success to date, while highlighting the range of courses and activities available to support Islanders' mental health, wellbeing and personal recovery.

The Recovery Hub provides free community-based courses and activities designed to support mental and physical wellbeing. Developed and delivered with input from people with lived experience, the programmes focus on building confidence, developing skills, fostering connections and supporting recovery in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Recovery Hub's journey, hear personal experiences from course participants, explore the range of courses on offer and take part in a number of taster sessions. JEDS, Focus on Mental Health, Jersey Heritage, SG Boxing, My Voice, The Listening Lounge, Carolyn Coverly, Lifestyle Medicine will all be at the event.

Andy Weir, Managing Director for Health and Care Jersey Services, said: "The Recovery Hub is making a real difference to Islanders by providing opportunities to learn, connect and support personal recovery.  Since launching, the Recovery Hub has delivered more than 20 different courses and activities.  In 2026 they have to date supported 226 Islanders on their recovery journey.

“The Recovery Hub team – which includes a number of people with lived experience of mental ill health – have exceeded our expectations and delivered great work in a short space of time which is having a real impact. This showcase is a chance to celebrate the progress made so far, to thank everyone who has been part of the journey, and to encourage participation and highlight the positive impact the Hub continues to have across our community."

Islanders who are interested in attending, please email: MHRecoveryHub@health.gov.je to secure a place.
