A major incident is being declared from 7pm today.
The RED wind warning remains in place with peak winds expected between 7pm and 3am.
The public are asked only to dial 999 in an emergency overnight.
The Hospital Emergency Department will remain open this evening but please ONLY visit if you are experiencing a genuine medical emergency.
Schools will be open tomorrow unless you hear otherwise directly from your individual school.
