Jersey Met is continuing to monitor Storm Goretti and how it will affect the Channel Islands.
Latest forecasts suggest the strongest winds will occur during Thursday evening from 6pm through until the early hours of Friday morning. Weather warnings will be issued, along with updates to the local forecast, regularly and as required.
Advice is to stay at home when the wind is at its peak within the period of 8pm Thursday through until the early hours of Friday and to stay away from the coast.
High tide is about 10pm Thursday evening with significant waves forecast to affect coastal areas.
Jersey Met continue to work with Government colleagues to prepare.
