Battle of Flowers 2026 Town Takeover

03 August 2026

Jersey’s town centre has bloomed again this summer for the Parish of St Helier 2026 Town Takeover.

Residents and visitors are invited to explore a floral showcase of 20 businesses until 13 September and vote for their favourite shopfront display.

Building on the success of the inaugural event in 2025, the Town Takeover transforms the town centre into a colourful floral experience, encouraging people to shop local while celebrating one of Jersey's most iconic events.

Funded by the Government of Jersey and administered by the Parish, the initiative provides support for businesses to create imaginative floral and nature-inspired displays based on the themes of this year’s Battle of Flowers entries. Some displays will also feature elements from their partnered float following the August parades, helping to extend the festival atmosphere beyond Battle weekend.

Connétable of St Helier, Inna Gardiner, said: "The Town Takeover has become a fantastic way of bringing colour, creativity and community spirit into our town centre. I hope it will encourage people to spend more time in St Helier, and it will again strengthen the connection between our high street and the Battle of Flowers.”

Assistant Minister for Sustainable Economic Development, Senator Serena Kersten, said: "This scheme is a great example of how culture, tourism and local businesses can work together for the benefit of Jersey’s economy.

“The Takeover helps boost vibrancy and footfall in St Helier, while highlighting an important part of our Island’s heritage. I encourage everyone to discover the floral displays throughout the summer season and vote for their favourite."
