When to pay
If your multinational enterprise (MNE) group is within scope of MCIT, you must pay the tax in two instalments for each account period, as explained below:
- 50% of the reasonable estimate of the MCIT amount must be paid within 5 months after the end of the accounting period
- the remaining 50% must be paid within 12 months after the end of the accounting period
For example, if an MNE group’s accounting period ends on 31 December 2025:
- 50% of the MCIT must be paid by 31 May 2026
- the remaining 50% must be paid by 31 December 2026
These payment deadlines are the same for all in-scope MNE groups, based on the accounting period of the group’s ultimate parent entity.
If the deadline falls on a weekend or on a bank holiday or a public holiday, you must make your payment to Revenue Jersey by the end of the previous working day.
Payment reference number
You must include your Pillar Two payment reference number in the payment reference field exactly as provided.
If you use an incorrect reference number, there may be a delay in your payment being allocated correctly.
If you need to confirm whether a payment has been received, contact us at pillar2@gov.je. We can confirm receipt when the payment has been processed.
Accepted payment currency
You should make all payments in pounds sterling (GBP).
If your MCIT calculations are done in a currency other than GBP, you need to convert the MCIT amount into GBP. To do this, use the Bank of England's exchange rate from the last day of your accounting period.
How to pay
Pay by bank transfer
If you pay by CHAPS (Clearing House Automated Payment System) or Faster Payments, your payment is usually received by Revenue Jersey on the same or next working day.
If you pay by BACS, allow up to 3 working days for your payment to reach Revenue Jersey.
Before making a payment, we recommend checking your bank’s processing times and any transaction limits.
