St Ouen's village new zebra crossing

‚ÄčAbout the project

La Route de Vinchelez (opposite the Parish Hall), northbound, is closed to road traffic from Monday 2 November for 7 weeks (weather permitting) for works to resolve illegal parking issues and make the crossing facilities safer for pedestrians.

The existing pelican crossing and the bus lay bys will be removed, the footways will be widened and a new zebra crossing with central refuge island will be installed in its place.

Working hours

The northbound road will remain closed and southbound open outside these times:

From Monday 2 November to Sunday 22 November

  • Monday to Saturday, 8am to 5pm
  • Sunday, 9am to 5pm

From Monday 23 November to work's completion

  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Saturday, 8am to 1pm
  • Sunday, no work

Diversion route

Northbound: La Route de Vinchelez, La Route du Marais, La Rue du Cotentin, La Route de Trodez, La Route de Vinchelez.
