Company programme
In the company programme, you'll form your own company with other students from schools across Jersey and will be expected to:
- develop a saleable product or service
- market and finance the product or service
- raise £400 in share capital
- pay the shareholders back their stake with any profit from the company
- submit financial accounts
- present your chosen product, a report and accounts to your shareholders
How the programme works
If your application is successful, you'll be invited to an induction evening where you'll be put into a group with 15 other students who will form your company.
You'll vote in your company to assign roles, eg managing director, secretary and marketing manager, and you'll also be allocated business advisers from local companies.
Your company will then meet once a week in your business adviser's boardroom to develop your product.
At the end of the programme, you'll be asked to submit your financial accounts and present your product or service to your shareholders and colleagues.
