What the skills training grant is for
The Skills Accelerator scheme provides grants to give skills training to employees, with the aim of making a difference to the sustainability or development of their employer's business.
Skills training may include vocational or specialist training, support for personal development or training for a new role.
We will give funding preference to:
- small and medium businesses (usually one to 30 employees)
- businesses other than finance and legal services
- the use of local (Jersey-based) training providers
You can get a grant of up to 75% of your training costs, up to a maximum of £4,000. The remaining 25% must be funded by you, your employer or a third party.
Eligibility criteria: who can apply for a grant
As an employer, you must meet certain criteria before your employee can apply for a grant. For example, you must:
be locally registered and insured
