Jersey Heritage is offering up to 4 paid internships, each lasting 8 weeks over the Summer of 2023. The internships are a great opportunity for undergraduates looking to explore a career in heritage. Each internship has a different focus reflecting the varied and exciting work of the heritage sector.

Curatorial Intern

The role will entail working in various parts of the curation and experience department at Jersey Heritage, enabling the postholder to understand various aspects of behind the scenes curatorial work:

• exhibition curation
• research for future projects
• assistance with Jersey’s application to become a UNESCO Global Geopark

Community Events Intern

The role will entail working in various parts of the curation and experience department at Jersey Heritage, enabling the postholder to understand various aspects of working the community and their visitors:

• events planning and management
• outreach projects, working to share heritage with the community
• visitor experience such as assisting volunteer guides and hosts

Archive Intern

The role will entail working with the archive team to gain a better understanding of the cataloguing or and research into archival collections:

IoD Internship Scheme

The Institute of Directors Jersey (IoD Jersey), in partnership with Skills Jersey and Jersey Business, have launched a pilot scheme called the IoD Accredited Internship.
