As Historic Environment Archaeologist your duties will include monitoring archaeological fieldwork on Jersey Heritage sites, undertaking watching briefs, recording and small-scale excavation on those sites when appropriate, monitoring archaeological fieldwork arising as part of the planning process and on occasion carrying out small-scale rescue archaeology. The successful applicant will hold a degree in Archaeology or equivalent qualification. Previous experience of fieldwork and post-excavation work is desirable as well as knowledge of Jersey’s archaeology, historic built environment and landscapes. Excellent communication skills and a full clean driving licence are also required.
