Head Gardener

This is a great opportunity for a Horticulturalist to show passion and commitment to managing, maintaining, and moving forward the gardens here at Samares Manor.
The aim is for the site to become a fully recognized Botanic Garden.

Key skills required.
• Excellent, practical knowledge of plants, particularly shrubs and
herbaceous both native to the UK and ornamental species
• Ability to manage up to six gardeners
• A strong desire to move the gardens forward to gain recognition as
a Botanic Garden
• Proven leadership, motivational and communication skills
• Experience of small landscape construction and maintenance work
• Good knowledge of horticultural plant and machinery operations
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Risk assessments and Method

• A full, valid driving licence
