General Shellfish Farm Worker

Jersey Oyster Company Limited is currently seeking motivated and hard working individuals to join our busy team as General Shellfish Farm Workers.

The main tasks of this role include:
• working on the beach;
• lifting heavy bags of oysters 20kgs;
• working on the conveyor belt grading and sorting oysters;
• packing of the purified oysters.

Ideal candidates will have the ability to work as part of an experienced team under direction from management/supervisors. Previous experience in farming/shellfish or food handling industries would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.

Candidates should possess good communication skills.

This role is on a shift basis, arranged around tide times. Shifts are on a pattern of 12 days on and 2 days off.
