The Justice and Home Affairs department integrates public protection, law enforcement, emergency services and emergency planning, to keep Jersey safe and secure. It brings key ‘blue light’ and emergency services (including Police, Fire and Rescue, Ambulance Service, Customs and Immigration, Field Squadron, Emergency Planning and Coastguard), together with the Prison Service. The Head of Communications will preferably have experience of justice and home affairs issues, and an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which law enforcement and public protection operate.
